About you

Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Psychiatrists (Senior Medical Officers) who want to make a positive impact while working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and supportive team. We are looking for Psychiatrists who are passionate about delivering quality care to our patients, especially in the Intellectual Disability Mental Health Service space.

In New Zealand, Psychiatry is generally practised as a hybrid of primary and secondary care specialty, based either in an inpatient unit or in specialist community mental health teams (CMHTs). The specialist Intellectual Disability Mental Health Service provides care for adults with intellectual disabilities and a wide range of mental health concerns. These include dual diagnosis, complex, challenging behaviour, neurodevelopmental disorders, and forensic issues, supporting individuals from age 18 through older adulthood.

Positions are available across New Zealand with immediate start dates, or you can speak with our recruitment team about your plans to move to New Zealand.
