Waitematā’s Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Services is the largest provider of Mental Health Services in New Zealand. The catchment area includes North Shore City, West Auckland and a large rural population in Rodney.
We provide a comprehensive, child, adolescent and family community mental health service, including family therapy, eating disorders, DBT and an attention and behaviour pathway. The service uses the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) to deliver a service with a friendly and collegiate culture.

About the role
The service operates a clinical governance model and there are opportunities to be involved in service development, service planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Teaching and supervision of junior doctors/students and clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team are core functions for our Consultant Psychiatrists.
