Waitemata is the largest district in New Zealand, serving a population of over 640,000 in the North and West of Auckland City. We are a growing ICU with 8 ICU and 6 HDU beds currently.

We are flexible and able to offer both fixed term and permanent posts for the right candidates. Part time options would also be considered.

We have opportunities for passionate and self-motivated Intensive Care professionals to positively contribute to the continued growth and development of our Intensive Care Services. We are looking for an Intensivist, (ideally with FCICM) with a dedication to quality improvement and continuing education. Excellent communication skills combined with an ability to work well within a team of dedicated individuals is also required.

Based at the metropolitan North Shore Hospital, our ICU presents an excellent opportunity to be involved in medical and surgical services. There may also be the opportunity to undertake clinical duties in other areas of interest, such as anaesthesia, emergency medicine or general medicine.
