About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Director and Clinical Lead Breast Radiologist to join our Regional Breast Screening Service; covering Capital Coast, Hutt Valley, and Wairarapa District.
The Clinical Director and Clinical Lead position provides leadership to ensure that Radiology Clinical Services are delivered in accordance with agreed clinical standards of practice and within the agreed annual Breast Screen Central business plan. They will also contribute to the strategic direction of the Breast Screen Central and Community Services Division of Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley District.

Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley district is located centrally in Wellington and has over 6,000 full-time equivalent staff, making us one of the major employers in the Wellington region. We operate three hospitals – Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown, Hutt Valley Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua – as well as the Kāpiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.
About you:
- Vocationally registered in Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- FRANZCR or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
- Professionally active within the BSA programme
- Be able to provide consistently high standards of medical care and leadership direction
- Possess the relevant experience, skills and clinical and leadership practice
