About the role
Gastroenterologist with ERCP +/-EUS experience sought to join a group of Gastroenterology colleagues with diverse backgrounds and interests. Due to consistently high demand for our outpatient and endoscopy services, we are seeking a passionate and dynamic Gastroenterologist to fill a permanent full-time position.
A fixed contract would be considered but we would prefer to integrate an SMO permanently into our Gastro whanau. Our focus on ERCP and EUS for this job stems from unexpected resignation of a valued colleague due to family reasons, which has put pressure on SMO cover for these disciplines. With specialist Hepatobiliary and Upper GI surgical specialities at our hospital and the only liver transplant unit in New Zealand, more ERCP and EUS support is needed.
The post will be based at Te Toka Tumai Auckland Hospital – Grafton and Greenlane Clinical Centre.
We are looking for a qualified doctor with broad skills in general gastroenterology and endoscopy, along with ERCP +/- EUS skills.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a supportive, innovative team while making a significant impact in a high-demand speciality with some Kiwi humour along the way!
