About the role

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a lead role in the Adult General Crisis Resolution team. This is a front-line service providing assessment, short-term treatment, and admission support for adults experiencing an acute deterioration in mental health.

You will bring your specialist knowledge and clinical expertise to deliver innovative, patient-centred acute care, while contributing to the development of our service. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, working alongside forward-thinking, multidisciplinary colleagues where professionalism and compassion go hand-in-hand.

  • experience in adult mental health, psychiatric emergency, or crisis services
  • a strong commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwork
  • an innovative, patient-centred approach to care delivery
  • eligibility for Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
