Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora are seeking applications from General Surgeons who have experience in breast surgery, oncoplastic and reconstruction following breast cancer and pre-cancerous diseases requiring surgical management.
About the role
Working at Dunedin Hospital, a 350-bed teaching and training institution, and our wider Surgical Directorate, you will bring your specialist skills in breast surgery to our team and community alike. Our clinics take place across the catchment area and may involve scenic flights to outreach facilities. You would be part of a team of three breast surgeons and dedicated breast care nurses, and work closely with the excellent breast radiology team, and the plastic and reconstructive surgeons in the department. There is an-call component as part of the general surgical roster, which would be negotiable dependent on the skill set of the successful candidate and is currently a 1:9.5 rotation.

Salary range
This role belongs to the ASMS Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 ($185,380) and Step 15 ($267,980 per annum pro-rata).
