Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

We are looking for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Hutt Hospital.

You’ll be responsible for the provision of anaesthetic and intensive care services including day case anaesthetics, theatre sessions, outpatient anaesthetic assessment clinics, critical care and sedation services and acute pain management. Experience in Paediatrics, Intensive Care or Obstetrics anaesthesia is preferred.

You must be highly motivated and enthusiastic and willing to take a lead in quality development and teaching.

  • Vocationally registered in Anaesthesia with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
  • FANZCA or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
  • Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
  • Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care
  • Relevant experience and training
