Come and join our dynamic multidisciplinary Rheumatology department who provide services to our local Hutt Valley and Wellington communities.
We have a really exciting opportunity for a Rheumatologist to join our District wide service. We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to comprehensive care encompassed within Rheumatology, including outpatient clinics, inpatient advice and acute call.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team
We have a team of six Rheumatologists and five nurses who offer strong collegial support. We are proud of the strength in our nursing team. There are opportunities for full-or part time roles to suit most people. Other potential roles include the clinical trials unit, private practice and the University of Otago clinical school. We are looking to develop out ultrasound capacity.
We are committed to clinical excellence in all disciplines; and Senior Medical Staff are encouraged to take part in clinical audits and peer-reviews to ensure quality clinical care is provided.

- Vocationally registered in internal medicine (Rheumatology) with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register for with the MCNZ
- Work effectively in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
- Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care
