Consultant Haematologist/MOSS (1.0 FTE 12-month fixed term) – Haematology Department, CM Health

Middlemore Hospital (800-beds), provides medical and surgical care to a rapidly growing population of approximately 601,000 people. The Haematology department provides diagnostics & clinical support services for patients with the full range of haematological malignant and non-malignant disorders and has an in-patient ward, chemotherapy day ward, outpatients, coagulation service, haematology laboratory and blood bank services, all located on-site.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed haematologist or senior advanced trainee to join our existing team of 7 Haematologists for 12 months to cover extended leave.  The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of patient care including inpatient management of acute haematology, clinics, and supervision of outpatient treatment in the day ward.  An interest in the management of thrombotic and haemostatic disorders would be ideal, and there is the opportunity to develop skills in clinical research.
