Southland Urology Services, based at Southland Hospital in Invercargill, have an exciting opportunity of a permanent part time (0.7 FTE) Consultant Urologist who will join our small but very experienced team of urologists. The Service provides a combination of inpatient, outpatient and community services to our patients in the Southland catchment area.
There is also an opportunity to run clinics and undertake simple surgery in Queenstown.
There is a focus on urology oncology, endourology (stones) and management of BPE and LUTS.
The role responsibilities includes:
Providing high quality patient centred care
Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planning
Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
Active participation in continuing medical education
The on call commitment of a 1:3 and includes urology clinics, diagnostics and theatre activities.Mō mātou – About usTe Whatu Ora – Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities. Utu whānui – Salary rangeThis role belongs to the ASMS Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 ($170,369) and Step 15 ($250,560 per annum pro rata) – dependant on prior experience and allowances in additional to this.
