Required qualifications: Applicants must be eligible for Vocational Registration in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand and have subspecialist training and qualification in MRI.
This is an exciting opportunity to be lead of the new MRI service within Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua | MidCentral’s Acute and Elective Specialist Services at Palmerston North Hospital
About the Role
This position will have ongoing clinical oversite for the MRI service working alongside the Charge MRI Medical Imaging Technologist. You would be expected to support the maintenance of the policies and procedures that are required to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
MidCentral is a tertiary centre for Oncology with a varied and interesting mix of pathology. There is a varied range of general radiology services provided which can accommodate a varied workload.
This is a Monday to Friday role with no on call component.

MidCentral employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts. Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
