Mō te tūranga – About the role
Our Community Mental Health teams are made up of health professionals who provide a range of specialist mental health services for adults who have been diagnosed with a significant mental illness. Your responsibilities will include assessment and treatment while working collaboratively with the primary health sector. You will have a strong commitment to service user and family/whanau inclusion in service delivery and a focus on recovery as well as having a sound understanding of and commitment to biculturalism.
A personal commitment to maintaining high standards of practice and full participation in team functioning is pivotal to the position. Your ability to provide clinical leadership and medical input to the multi-disciplinary team is essential. We welcome enquiries to discuss options in either Community Mental Health, Inpatient Care or Older Persons.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist with previous older persons setting, you will have a personal commitment to maintaining high standards of practice and an unequivocal dedication to working as part of a team. Your ability to provide clinical leadership and reliable medical input to the multi-disciplinary team is pivotal to the position. You will have a strong commitment to service user and family/whanau inclusion in service delivery and a focus on recovery. You will also have a sound understanding and commitment to biculturalism. You will have a demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and providing training to students at all levels.

Utu whānui – Salary range
This role belongs to the ASMS Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 ($170,369) and Step 15 ($250,560 p.a prorata).
