Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

The Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) Accredited Training Progamme is a two year training program in advanced gynaecological endoscopy to facilitate endoscopic training in Australia and New Zealand.

This role will enable advance training in gynaecology surgery and would suit a final year registrar or RANZCOG fellow in first 1-2 years of work.

The position includes clinical duties at Wellington hospital including outpatient hysteroscopy, gynaecology and colposcopy clinic, and supervised operating sessions.  Successful applicants with the FRANZCOG qualification will be expected to participate in the Senior Medical Officer call roster.  Applicants in their final year of registrar training may be asked to participate in the RMO roster with the exclusion of night shifts.  The position is part time to allow training exposure in the private sector, although there is no guarantee of income or lists implied by this position.

This role may be used for a non-AGES fellow, if there are no current AGES trainee or as a bridge between AGES fellow appointments.

It is fixed term to reflect the trainee nature of the role.
