Required qualifications: Mōu ake – About you To succeed in these positions, you will have completed your residency/ registrar training in Internal Medicine and are a fellow of The Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) or are eligible to hold vocational registration with the Medical Council of NZ as a Physician. Candidates with Rheumatology experience will be highly regarded. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively interact with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Strong teamwork skills will enable you to work effectively with your team and other departments.
Mō te tūranga – About the role
We seek General Medical Physicians / Hospitalists to join our highly skilled team in a permanent, full-time position. These critical positions will see successful candidates working within a small team and providing General Medical / Physician services during ward rounds.
You will also attend 2 outpatient clinics and an ECG stress clinic each week. There are opportunities for additional clinics if desired and also the ability for candidates with dual training to negotiate a sub-specialty practice. You will also support other departments within the hospital, providing support and advice to the emergency department and critical care units.
Supporting our Registrars and Resident Medical Officers, you will be able to draw on support from our link with Wellington’s training programme and will serve as a mentor for these more junior physicians.
