Job description

Need a change of scene, how does 12 months in Wellington grab you?

An opportunity exists for a general ENT Surgeon to join our team of ENT Specialists. We are interested in hearing from applicants interested in either part time (20 hours) or full time for a fixed term period.

The ENT service provides management of disorders of the ear, nose and throat, and associated head and neck conditions. ENT provides a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient service including managing acute patients for the greater Wellington region.

As a senior medical officer, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of clinical practice and expertise to the patients under your care. It is essential that you are eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You will be known by your peers as someone who is able to work within a multi-disciplinary environment, being able to engage with people from various backgrounds. You will also be expected to participate in the supervision and instruction of junior doctors within the service.

The hospital has dedicated research facilities and opportunities exist to collaborate with Otago and Victoria University and the Malaghan Institute.
