Job description

Locum - Consultant Radiation Oncologist
Dunedin Hospital

• Locum, 1 FTE (40 per week)

Applications are invited for a locum Consultant Radiation Oncologist position at Dunedin Hospital. The term of the locum cover is negotiable.

You will be joining our Oncology and Haematology team of four Radiation Oncologists, five Medical Oncologists and five Haematologists whilst working in a tertiary referral centre and living in a unique and attractive lifestyle location.

Dunedin Hospital is a 350-bed teaching and training institution with strong links to the School of Medicine at Otago University. It offers a full complement of sub-specialities and is a training site for the Royal Australasian & New Zealand College of Radiologists.

Our Service provides regional care and covers the lower south island so you may have the opportunity to participate in outreach clinics. A requirement of the position is that you will have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian & New Zealand College of Radiologists or an equivalent qualification, enabling specialist (vocational) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Dunedin is a great little city with a big town feel and well-known for its Southern Hospitality. If you’re considering a move down south feel free to come and talk to us about the job, the good schools, the University of Otago, and the recreational potential which this region possesses.
