Job description

•Fixed-term full-time (1.0 FTE) position available from July 2019 for five months
•Location: Nelson, New Zealand

About the role

Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) is seeking a full-time Neurologist to join the Department of Medicine at Nelson Hospital from July 2019 for a five month period. As we operate services district-wide you will be required to provide services in Blenheim, on occasion.

The successful applicant will be covering a period of sabbatical and extended leave to complement our existing services consulting to the inpatient services and providing outpatient services. As the sole Neurologist during this period you will be aptly supported by general Physicians and Geriatricians with neurology sub-interests.

About you

You will be a highly skilled diagnostician who is great team player, with excellent communication skills. Availability to start will be a key factor in this appointment to this role.

Qualifications required upon taking up the position:
•FRACP or equivalent
•Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
•Hold a current annual practising certificate
