Job description

Clinical Editor- Southern HealthPathways
Permanent, 0.2

A significant opportunity exists to accelerate progress towards becoming a truly connected and sustainable Southern Health System, by recognising and optimising the value of HealthPathways as a key enabler for successful transformational ‘whole of system’ change.

HealthPathways provides a framework that allows us to realign the way we work, with systems supporting integration and efficiency, and by supporting standardisation of care across and within care settings for an overall better and more successful patient journey. The HealthPathways Programme emphasises that “it’s about people” and a key measure of success at every point in the system includes reducing the time patients wait.

We have the opportunity to create a system of healthcare provision that is safe and equitable across our district providing the right care at the right time, delivered by the right person, at the right place (and as close to home as possible). Health Pathways is a tool that can help us achieve this.

We are looking for an experienced Southland based General Practitioner with excellent relationship skills and a whole of system understanding to join our team. You will be a systems thinker who is able to decipher what is meaningful and useful for the system from a myriad of information. Using your extensive clinical knowledge and expertise, you will work alongside subject matter experts to ascertain what content is relevant for Southern HealthPathways, and make the pathways appropriate for a local general practice audience.

Closing Date: Wednesday, 20 February 2019
