Location: Wellington

Contract: Fixed term - 12 months, full time


We are looking for a general surgeon to join our team. The general surgical service provides a range of services including colorectal, upper GI/HBP, endocrine and breast surgery. If you have a sub-speciality interest we would also be interested in hearing from you. If you are interested in working in Wellington and being part of a dynamic team then this is the job for you.

The role is fixed term, for 1 year to cover a period of surgeon leave.


- Clinical duties including theatre lists and clinics
- Involvement in department activities such as MDMs, M & M, meetings, service planning
- Mentorship of junior docotrs


- Vocationally registered as a general surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- Fellowship of the RACS (FRACS) in general surgery or equivalent and be able to register for specialist registration with the MCNZ
- Relevant experience
