About the service:
Waikato Hospital’s Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CCTVS) team provides a combination of cardiac, thoracic and vascular procedures in the one speciality area. The team includes cardiologists, cardiothoracic consultants, vascular consultants, registrars and house officers, interns, and ward staff includes a clinical nurse manager, associate clinical nurse manager, nurse educator, nurses, health care assistants and reception staff.

Waikato Hospital is a tertiary referral and teaching cardiac centre providing a wide range of adult cardiac services including cardiac surgery for the Midland Region (900,000 people).

The department is a leading national centre for structural heart disease intervention, and are developing a pioneering cardiac imaging service across the Midland region, including Cardiac MRI, CT coronary angiography, structural heart disease CT, nuclear cardiology, stress echocardiography and 3D TOE.

About the role:
An opportunity exists for a general Cardiologist with expertise in echocardiography to join an established and dynamic team of fourteen Cardiologists and five Cardiac surgeons.
