Medical Officer Special Scale (MOSS)
Medical Oncology/Clinical Haematology
Permanent, part time (0.6 FTE, 24hrs/week), however could work up to 0.8 FTE by negotiation.

A vacancy exists for a motivated MOSS to join our local dedicated team of medical and nursing staff to provide chemotherapy and other treatments to the local Taranaki population suffering various forms of cancer. This position would fill the second MOSS position based locally to deliver the services.

While we have stated the hours as 24 per week, there is the potential/opportunity to discuss additional hours up to 32 per week.

The local oncology service is part of the MidCentral Cancer Network with regular Medical Oncologist, Haematologist and Radiation Oncologist visits and support.

You will be known by your peers as someone who:

• Works well in multidisciplinary teams to provide patient centred care.
• Strives to improve the way services are developed and delivered.
• Has excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people from various backgrounds.
• Engages with other providers, consumers, and health organisations to improve the quality and responsiveness of services.
• Focuses on achieving results and developing and maintaining good working relationships in the workplace.
