Consultant Psychiatrist - Child Adolescent and Family Service
Southland Hospital

• Permanent, full time

The Role
We have an opening for a Consultant Psychiatrist within Consultant Psychiatrist within our Child, Adolescent and Family Service. Within the role, you will have the opportunity to work with patients up to the age of 18 and their families, providing integrated care throughout their journey through the healthcare system. You will see a wide range of presentations, providing clinics at our main clinic in Invercargill and in our rural clinics. You will work with another Child Psychiatrist as part of the larger Southern district psychiatry team, and be part of the on call roster.

You'll have the energy to make a positive difference with both patients and colleagues alike, being part of a service which works in an integrated model of care, you will have a supportive group of colleagues and work with a great multidisciplinary team, including a team of extremely experienced Registered Nurses, and Allied Health staff.
You will be taking a leading role in maintaining and enhancing our already comprehensive service, In addition to enjoying a varied workload and an exceptional quality of life, you can look forward to a culture where staff are included, valued and respected for their expertise.

Applicants must have completed their specialist training and be eligible for vocational registration with Medical Council of New Zealand We offer an attractive annual salary package based on skills and experience ranging from approximately NZD 216,000 to NZD 315,000 as well as full CME entitlement, superannuation and annual leave. We also offer an attractive relocation package.
