Working in a high performing team of motivated professionals, you’ll be keen to contribute in the ever changing world of Emergency Medicine. You’ll be based in a teaching hospital, where there is a quality focus, so you’ll have plenty of scope to work alongside both senior and junior staff developing and sharing your knowledge. Our FACEM led Emergency Department has 28,000 patient encounters per annum and is a busy, energetic place to work. The Emergency team of doctors, nurses, allied health and administration staff are the front door to our hospital, and work hard to create an environment of excellence.

This is a permanent, part-time to full-time position working 64-80 hours per fortnight (0.8 to 1.0FTE) to suit the availability of our preferred applicant.

You’ll bring the following qualifications and experience:
•General registration in New Zealand. Eligibility for registration can be checked via this link https://www.mcnz.org.nz/registration/getting-registered/tool/
•Current Annual Practising Certificate with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
•Considerable ED experienced, preferably gained in a provincial hospital.
