ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a full time consultant radiologist to cover a full time sabbatical for a fixed period until November 2020.
Wellington Regional Hospital is one of New Zealand’s five tertiary medical centres and our radiology department is a recognised training institution for Registrars (we have 11), MITs and Sonographers. An emphasis is placed on teaching, including on-going personal and professional development. The department boasts a dynamic and diverse team of 20 radiologists who work closely together in a strong collegial environment.
Reporting and supervising scanning lists (e.g. CT, MRI, Ultrasound)
Interventional procedures as appropriate
Preparing and taking clinical meetings/MDMs and liaising with clinicians where required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experienced in diagnostic radiology services including but not limited to: Plain films, Fluoroscopic and special procedures, Ultrasound, CT, MRI
Vocationally registered in D&I Radiology a with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
FRANZCR or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
