ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic team providing Oral Medicine care to people within the Wellington Region.
Oral Medicine is a sub-speciality of the Dental and Oral Health Service. It is concerned with oral health care of patients with chronic and medically related disorders of the oral and maxillofacial region, and with their diagnosis and non-surgical management. It is provided by an Oral Medicine Specialist registered with the Dental Council, although there is some overlap with Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, immunology, dermatology, general medicine and general dentistry.
- To provide oral medicine health care to patients within Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals
- To provide clinical support and assistance to Dental and Oral Health and other clinicians within the DHB
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Post-graduate oral medicine qualification
- Registration or be eligible for registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand as an Oral Medicine Specialist
- 5 Years recent experience post-graduation would be an advantage, but application from all qualified candidates is welcomed
- Hold current driver’s license
