Location: Porirua, Wellington
Contract: Permanent, full time (40 p/w).
ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic team providing surgical care to people within the Wellington Region. The breast team provides care to both people within the Wellington Region and the central region. We are keen to recruit a dynamic surgeon who is skilled in oncoplastic breast surgery and is able to take part in the general acute roster. You will be joining a friendly, welcoming team who prides itself on clinical excellence and innovation. This role sits within the general surgical service.
The applicant will be responsible for providing consultant services that facilitate the provision of appropriate quality general services to the patients who come under his/her care, and for training of Registrars in accordance with the requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
This role joins a service with a total staff of ten consultants, and RMOs. This position reports to the Clinical Leader, General Surgery and Operations Manager, Surgery.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Vocationally registered in General Surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- FRACS or equivalent and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
- Excellent interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment
- Relevant training and experience
