Our DHB covers the largest geographical catchment of all the DHB’s in New Zealand; Southland Hospital is our DHB’s Secondary Hospital proudly providing top-quality healthcare to a population of 105,000 in the lower South Island. Our catchment area provides us with some unique challenges, but also ensures there is an enormous scope for the variety in the work available to our talented professionals. Four ski fields are within easy driving distance. Recognised as an ideal place to raise a family, Invercargill is a modern city offering access to outstanding leisure pursuits and a caring, safe community. The city also has superb facilities such as an indoor velodrome and sporting complex, excellent schools and an enterprising, innovative tertiary education provider, where free fees exist.
