We are looking for a Respiratory Physician to join our expanding team. Whilst all applicants will be considered, a specialist interest in sleep disordered breathing is desirable.
You will provide clinical services that include: outpatient clinics in a broad range of respiratory conditions; sharing the responsibility of a respiratory/general medical inpatient team including being involved in the acute medicine on-call roster; bronchoscopy and pleural services; reporting of pulmonary function testing including CPET, provision of sleep services, teaching of RMOs, nurses and allied health; developing models of care and liaison with community based support services. You should be able to provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, with a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Hawke's Bay has a diverse population of 162,000 people in both urban and remote rural areas. Services are primarily provided at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Hastings which has a 400 bed capacity - one of the largest provincial hospitals in New Zealand.
