Job description

The Team

The Christchurch Opioid Recovery Service located at Hillmorton Hospital, provides specialised clinical work with consumers experiencing co-existing alcohol and/or drug dependence and moderate to severe mental health needs.

The Role

We are seeking a Medical Officer for Christchurch Opioid Recovery Service at Hillmorton Hospital. This is a permanent 0.8FTE role with less hours to be negotiated if preferred.

You will provide medical input into the multidisciplinary team's clinical assessment and management planning and will act as a Medical Officer in the treatment of the department's patients cases. You will also be required to participate in the supervisor, training, evaluation and research within the department.

You will have specialised knowledge of pharmacology which will allow safe prescription and monitoring of drug treatments.

To be considered for this role you will be registered or have the ability to be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
